TAYG WOODPLAS: "Development of a specialised packaging model using wood composites and 100% biodegradable PLA" Implementation period: 2018 - 2019.

The WOODPLAS project has involved the development of a new range of 100% biodegradable packaging for domestic use, made of different materials depending on the technical or aesthetic requirements of the packaging.

TAYG has, thanks to this project, WPC packaging with wood finishes as well as PP-based biodegradable materials for packaging with specific mechanical requirements. The inclusion of PLA as a biodegradable material in the company's catalogue has greatly expanded TAYG's offer for domestic use, generating the Natur range as a commercial brand.

This project, with a development budget of over €400,000, has been co-funded by the CDTI and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)The project is part of the Operational Programme for Intelligent Growth 2014 - 2020, with the aim of promoting research, technological development and innovation for an amount of €260,729.49, of which 30% is granted in the form of a non-refundable loan.
